Let me introduce to you my darling Ernst (Ma Co`s Estimable), my very first Maine Coon, born 10 December 1997.

His owners could no longer keep him, and he came into my life at the age of 8 months. He was so scared and nervous it nearly broke my heart. With a lot of love and patience over the next months he became the most sociable and happy cat! Today, Ernst and I are like an "old married couple" - we can just look at each other to know what the other one wants. In his own special way, he thanks me on a regular basis for being with me!

I was a bit anxious about bringing him to shows, unsure about how he would react. No need to worry - it went very well! He got a few Best in Show and Best opposite Sex, and gained the title Grand International Premier before the two of us decided that he should retire from the show circuit.

Ernst is the largest of all my cats, a bit fat with a round tummy. He is the gathering point for all my other cats, and they love him deeply!
